We are proud to announce our continued partnership with Big Group Hug, an Australian charity dedicated to helping vulnerable babies and young children stay healthy, comfortable, and cared for.
Meeting a Critical Need for Larger Nappy Sizes
In our latest donation effort, Aiwibi delivered 50 packs of nappies across sizes 5, 6, and 7—totaling 2,120 nappies directly to Big Group Hug’s warehouse.
Larger nappy sizes are among the items Big Group Hug regularly runs out of. For parents struggling with rising living costs, nappies are a significant and unavoidable household expense. When budgets are tight, parents face heartbreaking choices—sometimes having to choose between purchasing nappies or healthy food, or trying to make nappies last longer by changing them less frequently, which places infants at risk of rash and infection.
Our targeted contribution directly replenishes these depleted shelves, ensuring that local families receive the exact size their growing child needs.
Making a Big Difference with Everyday Essentials
With 1 in 6 children in Victoria currently living in poverty, the ongoing cost-of-living crisis continues to push many families into deeper hardship.
Big Group Hug works closely with local health and welfare professionals to provide aid packages containing essential items—including nappies, clothing, bedding, formula, and toys. In the 2024–2025 financial year alone, the organization distributed over 96,000 nappies to families in need.
A local caseworker highlighted the immediate impact these contributions bring:
"These packages make such a difference to parents. The financial support they provide is crucial. I have seen the relief on parents’ faces when they receive something as essential as a packet of nappies or good-quality clothing."
Volunteers at Big Group Hug echoed this sentiment, noting that receiving a steady supply of nappies gives stressed parents immediate peace of mind and one less essential worry.
